Franz van Riemsdyk’s Son Heading to the Philadelphia Flyers!
On Friday, June 22, 2007, James van Riemsdyk was the second player selected in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft. Selected by the Philadelphia Flyers, James also made history as this was the first time in NHL draft history that American born players were selected #1 and #2.
