Fare Thee Well Brother Steve Sandler
With heavy hearts, we share the news of the untimely departure of our beloved brother, Steve Sandler (link to Steve’s obituary). Steve leaves behind a legacy that transcends mere words; he was a remarkable individual, cherished for his friendship, intellect, dry sense of humor, athletic prowess, and fierceness as a competitor. In honoring Steve’s memory, we reflect on the impact he had on all who were fortunate enough to know him.

Fear The Stache! TKEs and Friends Turn Out For Iowa Univ. – Rutgers Wrestling Match
TKE and Friends and many former S.U. wrestlers turned out for the January 2, 2015 wrestling match between ranked teams Iowa University and Rutgers University, to see Mike Evans (“The Stache”), son of TKE brother Rick Evans ’81, wrestle. But first, everyone gathered at John Osborn’s favorite haunt – The Dunellen Inn – for dinner and beverages, before heading to Rutgers to see Mike Evans wrestle. Mike graduated in 2015 from Iowa University as a 3-Time All America in wrestling, ending his honored career at Iowa with 107 wins, one of only roughly 40 wrestlers in Iowa’s storied history to reach 100 victories.
The TKE and Friends website dedicated to the memories and goings on of TKEs, TKE little sisters, and friends of TKE from Iota-Beta Chapter, Susquehanna University, during the years 1978-1984. TKE and Friends began as an idea back in 1991-1992 to establish a periodic gathering to bring together TKEs, TKE little sisters and friends of TKE from that timeframe to reconnect, share memories and have fun.
The sole purpose of the TKE and Friends gathering and this Website is social – to provide an opportunity to bring together friends from bygone days. The TKE and Friends gatherings were and are in no way designed to raise money nor is it an alumni or Susquehanna University sponsored event.
We hope you enjoy the Website and we will continue to add information. Please feel free to contact us with your comments and ideas.
